Petaling Jaya, 30 & 31 August 2013 – MPBJ with the support of Kelab Sukan Hoki Inline (KSHI) & Team Underdogs, in conjunction with Hari Merdeka officially launched MIHT13, the 5^th MBPJ Inline Hockey Tournament, at MBPJ Arena PJ, Jalan Selangor, Malaysia on the 30 and 31 August 2013.

Founded in 2009, the tournament now in its fifth year will see teams from all over Asia including Singapore,  Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan compete over two days  from 30-31August 2013 to win the coveted MBPJ Mayor Cup championship trophy.

MIHT13, was co-organised with other activities including the 1^st Malaysia National Freestyle Skating Championship, Junior Rollerball Competition, Bloggers Bazaar and the MIHT Quill Automobiles BMW Experience, which makes the event more exciting and thrilling for the public as they take in the spirit of the games.

9.00am - The event was officiated by YB Elizabeth; EXCO for Tourism Consumer Affairs and Environment, Selangor, YB Rajiv Rishyakaran; Adun Bukit Gasing, En. Aznan Hassan; MBPJ Director of Social Development and graced by the presence of Zain Amri, President Kelab Sukan Hoki Inline (KSHI) and Idroose Tambarin, President Malaysia Roller Sports Association (MARS). YB Elizabeth & YB Rajiv made a request to MBPJ En. Aznan to look into the building of a permanent roof for the Inline Hockey rink to grow this exciting sport here in Selangor, Malaysia.

All teams and participants was given a limited edition plaque courtesy MBPJ Datuk Bandar, a goodie bag consisting of Tupperware Brands; Eco bottles, Sepang Gold Coast Waterproof bag, MBPJ tote bag & mugs.
